Make the Land by the "S"-Curve over Shandin Hills into a Park

As E Street becomes Kendall Drive, the "S"-curve over Shandin Hills is surrounded by underutilized land that is mostly government-owned and that could be made into an interesting park with naturalistic water features that make use of the terrain.

This park, along with its trails, staircases, and/or ramps, would also enhance pedestrian and cyclist connectivity across the hill. And, views up E Street could terminate in a more memorable way with a building, a statue, or some other interesting feature placed just to the east of the Castaway restaurant.

Funding is potentially available through Proposition 84 and other sources.
